What are thin clients?
Thin clients are machines that run applications from a central server. A thin client resembles a PC: it has both keyboard and mouse. The user interface is the same, but the device itself is smaller and less power-hungry, using a smaller processor and less RAM. Programs and applications are not installed directly on the thin client, but on a common server that the user logs into. The server sends data to the user’s monitor and gives the impression of working at a “normal” PC.
An end to data loss
Another advantage is the fact that you no longer need to back up employees’ PCs and you in-house servers - all data is stored centrally on your server in our hosting centre. Your business critical data is secure; they will never be lost or leaked in case of a virus or system crash: All data are saved at our hosting centre in the former National Bank cash depot in Odense.
